You are perfect, whole and complete right now at this very moment. Take a breath, be still and just for 30 seconds be with the essence of who you are. Meeting goals and evolving is what we naturally do as humans, that won\u2019t change if you self-accept. In fact, you might find that you are more efficient because you are not bogged down by thoughts of worthlessness. Getting stuck in the trance of unworthiness is a way to go through life without being who you were meant to be. Instead, try to consider that your path, your gifts are very different and your journey is very different. You will feel lighter in your body. File and clean your nails&#8211; maybe even get a manicure or pedicure. Take a long, quiet walk in nature. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bingeeatingtherapy.com\/2012\/04\/play-dirt-good-mental-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Being in nature is good for your mind, body and spirit.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>15. Sit down and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/articles\/h\/health_benefits_of_tea.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">drink a hot cup of tea.<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>Sharing a cup of tea with yourself is a great lesson in how to love yourself. It&#8217;s very nurturing and self-loving.<\/p>\n<p>16. Rent a funny movie and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.helpguide.org\/life\/humor_laughter_health.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laugh a lot.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>17.\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article.cfm?id=smile-it-could-make-you-happier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smile at 10 random people.<\/a><\/span> You will instantly feel bright and joyous and full of love when you infuse good into the world and it will integrate it into your own psyche.<\/p>\n<p>18. If you don&#8217;t feel like smiling, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/health\/archive\/2012\/07\/study-forcing-a-smile-genuinely-decreases-stress\/260513\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">force it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0The activation of the muscles used to create a smile actually decrease stress in increase feelings of well-being.<\/p>\n<p>19. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/11\/22\/gratitude-healthy-benefits_n_2147182.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Express gratitude<\/span>.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0One of the great tragedies of our psyches is that it is so difficult to appreciate what we have one we are wanting more. It&#8217;s important \u00a0to want more, but the way to really find happiness is to appreciate and love and be grateful for what you have. Don&#8217;t let yourself believe that you&#8217;ll be happy when&#8230; Be happy now. Be grateful now. Don&#8217;t allow your happiness to be held hostage by future events that may or may not happen. My kiddos\u00a0love to shake their\u00a0heads back and forth to any rhythm &#8211; makes\u00a0them deliriously\u00a0happy.<\/p>\n<p>25. Talk to the dead. Just get into a quiet mood and begin talking either out loud or in your head to someone you miss. Having conversations in your head with people who have passed away can be incredibly healing.<\/p>\n<p>26. Compliment someone. Tell someone how beautiful they are, or what a good job they&#8217;re doing or how much you appreciate them. It will bring joy to their world and make you happy too. Sending \u00a0love and positivity to others is a great way to learn how to love yourself.<\/p>\n<p>27. Call someone you haven&#8217;t spoken to in a long time.<\/p>\n<p>28. Drink a glass of water. Mild dehydration <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.care2.com\/causes\/glass-only-half-full-mild-dehydration-causes-pessimism.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">can cause a bad mood<\/a><\/span> and pessimism.<\/p>\n<p>29. Play in the dirt! \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2011\/HEALTH\/07\/08\/why.gardening.good\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gardening can make you feel happy.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Mycobacterium, which occurs naturally in soil, has the same effect on your brain as anti-depressant medications.<\/p>\n<p>31. Look at old pictures &#8212; for a bonus happiness boost, share them with someone you love.<\/p>\n<p>32. Try to do a push up. If you cannot, try again the next day. Within a week, you&#8217;ll be able to do a pushup. Do this everyday and by the end of a month, you&#8217;ll be doing 5 push ups a day. After a year, you&#8217;ll be doing 50 pushups a day. You&#8217;ll feel super accomplished, not to mention strong.<\/p>\n<p>33. Sing a song out loud.<\/p>\n<p>34. Have only 20 seconds?<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smosh.com\/smosh-pit\/videos\/20-most-hilarious-youtube-videos-under-20-seconds-long\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Choose one.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>35. Hug someone. Human touch makes us calm, relaxed and peaceful.<\/p>\n<p>36. Take a bath with epson salts. Magnesium relaxes your muscles and helps you have a sense of peacefulness making you happier.<\/p>\n<p>37. Send wishes for the people around you to be happy, kind and compassionate.<\/p>\n<p>38. Let go of people that make you unhappy. You can choose to let go with compassion of friends who feel toxic. It&#8217;s okay to do that.<\/p>\n<p>39. Read <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1bASdij\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the Alchemist.<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>I read this book right after my Mom died and it changed my mood immeasurably. It&#8217;s an amazing mood lifting book.<\/p>\n<p>40. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gailvazoxlade.com\/othervoices\/flossing-for-health-and-happiness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Floss your teeth!<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>41. Take a nap. Being well rested is the best way to be happy.
